Dr James Genge is an ophthalmic micro surgeon and internationally trained Laser Vision Correction, Cataract and Corneal Surgery Subspecialist. Dr Genge graduated in Medicine from the University of NSW, obtaining a further medical research degree with overseas experience in Burma on a scholarship. His specialist training was at Sydney Eye Hospital, after which he undertook advanced surgical training with a Laser Eye Surgery and Corneal Transplant Surgery Fellowship at Moorfields Eye Hospital in London, one of the world’s leading eye institutions. He specialises in Laser Vision Correction, modern Cataract and Refractive Intraocular Lens Surgery, Corneal Transplantation and has a comprehensive grounding in all aspects of eye care. He is a fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Ophthalmology. He is a member of the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons and the European Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons. Dr Genge frequently lectures at major international and local conferences on Laser Vision Correction, Corneal and Cataract Surgery and has numerous publications in peer-reviewed literature.
